Terms of use and sale

Last updated: Wednesday, September 30, 2026

1. Purpose

These terms of use and sale govern the use of 8SPLITS (8splits.com and the web app) and subscriptions to the paid Athlete and Coach plans, offered by the publisher named in the legal notice ("we") to consumers ("you"). Creating an account or subscribing means you accept these terms.

2. The service

8SPLITS builds a Hyrox race plan (splits for the 8 runs, 8 stations and the roxzone) from a target time, using public official race results and a model where data is missing. It also offers a race calendar, private crews with a relative-score leaderboard, and challenges.

Plans are estimates to help you prepare: they guarantee no result and replace neither medical advice nor coaching. You remain the judge of your training and fitness.

3. Account

Your account is personal. You agree to provide accurate information and keep access to your email private. You can delete your account at any time from Profile > Your data.

4. Plans

  • Free: full calculator (Open, Pro, Doubles, Relay), 1 saved plan, crew membership, one crew of up to 10 members, race result with the total time (the station-by-station detail is part of Athlete), calendar, duo finder, profile and season recap.
  • Athlete: splits fitted to your cohort when the data allows, multiple plans, full history, post-race analysis, cohort comparison, printable pacing wristband, offline race mode, crews of up to 10 members.
  • Coach: everything in Athlete, plus crews of up to 30 members, roster, race notes, debrief, Team Space, crew challenges, athlete nudges and a weekly e-mail listing the athletes falling behind their plan (one-click unsubscribe).

Prices in euros, VAT not applicable (article 293 B of the French tax code), the price shown is the price paid: Athlete €12.99 per month or €89 per year; Coach €29.99 per month or €249 per year, with a 14-day free trial on the first Athlete or Coach subscription, one trial per person; launch offer: Athlete €69 per year, price kept at every renewal while the subscription stays active, no trial, within the places announced (the prices on the Pricing page prevail). Any price change is announced before it applies and never affects a period already paid.

Launch offer. The yearly Athlete plan is offered at €69 per year, to the first 100 yearly subscribers (instead of €89), and where applicable until the end date shown on the Pricing page. The number of places left shown is the yearly subscriptions at the launch price currently running, as confirmed by our payment provider, plus the places held during a payment in progress (15-minute hold). The €69 price is guaranteed at every renewal while the subscription stays active. If the subscription is cancelled or ends, a new subscription is charged the yearly price in force (€89 today): the launch price can be obtained once per person. Once the places are taken or the end date has passed, the offer is no longer available.

5. Order and payment

Payment is processed by Stripe, a licensed payment provider, on a secure checkout page. 8SPLITS never sees nor stores your card data. The Athlete and Coach plans start with a 14-day free trial, one trial per person (the yearly launch offer has none): your card is saved at subscription and the first charge happens at the end of the trial unless you cancel before. Without a trial, the price is charged at subscription. It is then charged at each renewal. Your invoices are sent by e-mail and stay available in the subscription portal, reachable from Subscription > Manage my subscription.

Athlete or Coach access comes only from a paid subscription (or the Coach trial): no paid access is granted by hand.

6. Term, renewal and cancellation

Subscriptions have no commitment and renew automatically each period (month or year). You cancel online from Billing > Cancel my subscription (at most 3 clicks from your account); an optional survey asks why, never blocking the cancellation. It takes effect at the end of the paid period (or trial), at no cost: your access stays active until that date, an email confirms it, and you can reactivate while the period is running. When paid access ends, the account returns to Free without losing data (within the Free plan's limits). A crew then above 10 members becomes read-only; no member is removed.

7. Right of withdrawal

Under article L.221-18 of the French Consumer Code, you have 14 days from subscription to withdraw, without giving a reason, by writing to mechergui.skander02@gmail.com:

"I withdraw from my 8SPLITS subscription taken out on [date]. Account email: [email]."

Refunds are made within 14 days using the original payment method. If you ask for immediate access during this period, you can still withdraw and an amount matching the use already made may be deducted (article L.221-25).

8. Referrals and commissions

Who gets a code. Every paying subscriber, Athlete or Coach (active or trialing subscription), gets a personal referral code and link. Access granted free of charge does not count as a paid subscription: it gives neither a code nor any right to a commission.

Attachment. A person is linked to a referrer when they use the referrer's link (the code is kept 30 days in their browser), sign up or pay with the code, or enter it on their Subscription page. The first attachment wins and it is permanent. Self-referral is impossible and there is a single level: a commission never generates a commission.

Calculation. On each payment a referral makes, the referrer earns a commission equal to the rate × the net amount collected, i.e. the amount paid minus taxes and payment fees. The rate depends on the referrer's paid plan when each payment happens: 20% on the Coach plan, 10% on the Athlete plan, no commission if no longer subscribed. A zero payment (a free trial, for instance) earns no commission.

Hold, cancellation. Each commission stays pending for 30 days, then becomes payable. It is cancelled on a refund or dispute of the payment concerned; if it was already paid out, its amount is deducted from the referrer's next commissions.

Payout. Payable commissions are paid on the 1st of each month, whatever the amount, by bank transfer (SEPA) to the account whose IBAN the referrer entered in their account; while no IBAN is on file, the balance carries over. The referrer alone is responsible for declaring these amounts.

Referrals are not guaranteed income: commissions depend only on the referrals' payments. Any abuse (fake accounts, circumvented self-referral) cancels the commissions concerned.

9. Crew rules

Crews are private: only members see the leaderboard, plans and tests shared in the crew. You agree not to publish unlawful or offensive content (crew name, description, nickname). A crew's coach may remove a member and adjust a locked target to keep the leaderboard fair.

Creating a crew is free. A crew's maximum size depends on its creator's plan: 10 members without the Coach plan (Free or Athlete), 30 members with the Coach plan. One account can create at most 20 crews. The coach tools (roster, race notes, debrief, challenges, nudges) need the Coach plan.

The partner finder is only for finding a race partner. You agree to stay respectful, not to harass anyone, not to create fake profiles and not to use shared contacts for other purposes. Anyone can block or report a profile; we may suspend an account in case of abuse. Meetings arranged outside 8SPLITS are your own responsibility.

10. Legal guarantees

For digital content and services, the legal guarantee of conformity applies (articles L.224-25-12 et seq. of the French Consumer Code): in case of non-conformity you can obtain a fix or, failing that, a price reduction or termination. The service may be interrupted for maintenance; split accuracy depends on the volume of available data, as stated in the app.

11. Personal data

How your data is processed is described in the privacy policy.

12. Mediation and governing law

In case of dispute, write to mechergui.skander02@gmail.com first: we reply within 7 business days. The same address applies to a payment, billing or refund dispute.

These terms are governed by French law, without prejudice to the protective rules of your EU country of residence.

This document is a solid basis, not legal advice: have it reviewed by a professional before the first sale. The French version prevails.
